Removal of Blogrush (again)

Blogrush is gone. It doesn't work for me. Its not right for me So here we have it. I couldn’t even follow through with my 2 week experiment.

Why? because it would be a waste of my time and an extra 3 seconds added to my overall load up time.

Not only is blogrush useless (received only 2 clicks from it), but trafficjam was no better. Unless someone here has had a better experience and would like to talk about it.

Oh BlogRush, How I forsaken thee!

I thought that with Trafficjam implemented, that I would at least get a bit of traffic from it. Nope. Nothing. Nadda. I was not even listed on Trafficjam.com, sadly enough. I thought the whole point of Trafficjam was for Blogrush to redeem itself with what looked like to be a potentially valuable directory. I was wrong.

Blog Rush is no More! All it did was bulk up the loading time to this blog which has effected my overall load time for Izearanks widget, so it was not as accurate. (or so I am told).

.. and then Blog Rush was no more.

I am removing Blogrush, in hopes to put an ease to my week of wasted time. I said good day!

I don’t get it… does that mean that blogrush doesn’t properly send anything over to trafficjam?

@Jake: I am not sure what is going on really. It wasn’t worth leaving up for another week if all it did was slow down the load up time. I will probably be redoing the design ONE last time, now that I am even more comfortable with Photoshop.

This was a failed experiment on my end, too. I only got 2 clickthroughs and it was from the blogrush widget.

I too gave TrafficJam the benefit of the doubt. Not. I will be taking Blogrush off again by this weekend.

BlogRush yuck! Worst deal ever. Got like a zillion impressions and about 5-10 clicks. And it appears Spottt is going in the same direction. BlogRush doesn’t care about you, so why care about it?

@ Stephan Miller: Sorry to hear that you had to put up with it too They should offer some other form of trying to get traffic, even within a group of webmasters. I mean, Entrecard has their ‘drop’ program which is incredible. I am sure the owners of BlogRush could come up with something better than a Web Directory for Blogs that doesn’t properly sync.

@ 1 Million: Yeah, Blogrush is out for good, in my books. Unless they come up with something that blows me away, I wont bother. I’d much rather put back my BlogCatalog widget, but it sometimes caused some slow load ups on this blog. (probably because of something that I did to it, hehe)

I removed Blogrush from all my blogs too…didn’t help me much and slowed down my site…

I tried out blogrush for a few weeks. It brought me maybe two clicks at most. That’s seriously poor performance!

Comments:
