Link Building

You have probably heard it before. You’ve probably read about it, too. Link Building is probably one of the more important things you can do to increase your visitors and SERPS to your site/blog/(whatever else).

There is close to an unlimited number of ways to get some nice backlinks and you have probably heard of the basic methods. I wrote about some of those basic methods already. Stumbleupon, Reddit, Digg, Directory Submissions, Article Marketing, etc. (you get the idea).

Sadly enough, these are the things that have been saturated and talked about to no end. (even though some people do not listen to it ;) ). Here is a new one for you, which I intend to try out myself in a bit.

Contests:
If you are a struggling blog owner, you can hold Contests. For whatever the prize, may it be reviews, money, free web hosting on your package for a year; contests can dramatically increase your traffic and recurring visitors. (Look at Johncow.com, for example - he used contests to dramatically increase his presence, and now people are linking to him *coughs*. instant back links). - Sadly enough, I have not used this method yet for THIS blog, as I want to increase the number of quality posts a bit more.

A Few Places to Submit Blog Contests To:

Contests can bring a lot of quick visitors to your blog or website. The ones mentioned above are for blogs primarily, however.
